Product Description

Carleader 4CH AHD 720P/CVBS Vehicle Video Splitter for Truck Camera Systems. The 4CH AHD Vehicle Video Multiplexer is designed for commercial vehicle camera systems that need to connect and manage multiple camera feeds on a single display. The video multiplexer allows installers to combine front, rear, side or other vehicle cameras into a centralized monitoring system. Individual trigger wires can automatically bring the corresponding camera to full-screen view, while manual selection is also available. When two or three cameras are connected, the system can automatically select the appropriate 2-split or 3-split display mode, making it suitable for different vehicle configurations without requiring a separate controller for each camera.

Product Detail

Carleader 4CH AHD 720P/CVBS Vehicle Video Splitter for Truck Camera Systems. The multi-camera vehicle monitoring system is not only about adding more cameras. The cameras also need to be selected, displayed and controlled efficiently. This 4-channel vehicle video multiplexer works as a central video management unit between the cameras and vehicle LCD monitor. It accepts AHD 720P and CVBS camera signals and outputs the selected video to a compatible vehicle display.  When the corresponding trigger signal is activated, the selected camera can automatically switch to full-screen display. The four channels can also be selected manually when the driver or operator needs a specific view. The system also supports different display configurations according to the number of connected cameras, helping installers build a flexible truck camera system, bus camera system or commercial vehicle surveillance system.

Product Advantages

1. One Control Unit for Four Vehicle Cameras

Connect up to four camera channels through one compact video control unit. This simplifies the wiring and signal management of multi-camera vehicle systems.

2. AHD + CVBS Camera Compatibility

It can supports AHD 720P/CVBS. This makes the unit suitable for projects using different generations of vehicle cameras.

3. Trigger-Based Full Screen Switching

Each camera can have an individual trigger input. When a trigger signal is activated, the corresponding camera can automatically take over the display in full-screen mode. This is useful for applications such as: Reverse camera activation, Side camera monitoring, Front camera activation and Vehicle door or turn-related camera switching.

4. Flexible Multi-View Display

When two or three cameras are connected, the system can automatically switch to the corresponding 2-split or 3-split display mode. This provides a practical way to build different camera configurations without changing the main control unit.

5. Independent Mirror Image Setting

Each camera channel can be configured separately as normal image or mirror image, allowing different camera positions to use their appropriate viewing orientation.

Trigger & Display Control

The trigger function is one of the key features of this vehicle video multiplexer. Each of the four camera channels can be triggered separately. When the trigger signal is received, the corresponding camera automatically changes to full-screen display according to the preset camera priority. After the trigger signal is cancelled, the image remains displayed for approximately 2 seconds before returning to the previous display state. This type of trigger control is particularly useful when the driver needs an important camera view to temporarily override the normal multi-camera display.

Why Use a Video Multiplexer Instead of Connecting Cameras Directly?

For a multi-camera vehicle system, the main challenge is not simply the number of cameras. The system also needs to manage which camera should be displayed and when.

The 4CH AHD Vehicle Video Multiplexer provides a centralized connection point for four cameras and handles:

  • Camera Input → Signal Processing → Trigger Control → Display Switching → Monitor Output

This allows vehicle manufacturers, installers and fleet solution providers to build a more organized multi-camera vehicle surveillance system.
