This heavy duty rear view camera is built around a solid 304 stainless steel housing — not painted zinc alloy — for vehicles that operate where ordinary camera housings fail: coastal routes under salt spray, sanitation trucks going through chemical wash-downs, refrigerated trailers running sub-zero, and fleets that pressure-wash every night. A 3.6mm lens delivers a natural 120° field of view with minimal distortion, so drivers can judge side and rear distances accurately. Q1. What is the advantage of a 304 stainless steel housing?

A. Most "heavy duty" cameras use zinc alloy with a painted coating that chips after one winter of road salt. 304 stainless resists corrosion on its own, which is why it is specified for marine, sanitation and refrigerated applications.

Q2. Is IP69K the same as IP67?

A. No. IP67 only covers temporary immersion. IP69K is tested against high-pressure, high-temperature jets — exactly the truck bay wash environment — and is the rating to ask for on commercial vehicles.

Q3. Can I use this camera on a 24V truck?

A. Yes. The standard SKU runs on DC 12V. Order the 24V variant for heavy trucks and buses; do not use a buck converter, which adds a failure point.

Q4. Is 120° wide enough for side blind spots?

A. Yes. It covers side blind zones and rear corners while keeping perspective natural. Ultra-wide 150° lenses show more area but distort distance, which is risky when judging clearance.
